This blog is written by Unhinged Salmon and features posts about prospects at all levels of the Boston Bruins’ organization, with an emphasis on their primary minor league affiliate, the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League. While there are many colloquialisms for the Providence Bruins you will hear me use, i.e. “Baby Bruins”, “P-Bruins”, “PVD”, etc., they remain the primary development stage for hockey prospects who aren’t quite ready for their NHL aspirations. Prospects in the lower ECHL affiliate Atlanta Gladiators, as well as prospects still in their junior teams of the CHL and abroad will also be covered, however with my geographical proximity to Providence, they are the easiest and most exciting to follow. Since the hiring of Don Sweeny to the Bruins’ front office as General Manager, the prospect cabinet has been restocked, and many of these players require a little bit of seasoning, bringing them to the Providence Bruins home, the Dunkin Donuts Center. On this blog, you will find weekend games recaps, individual prospect assessments, as well as any events I attend as a season ticket holder.
As a disclaimer, I do not own any team names or logos, and merely use them under an assumed creative license.
